Ali Barre Hirsi, a local police commander in Mogadishu, missed death by a whisker when a roadside bomb that targeted him exploded.
However, his two bodyguards were not so lucky when shrapnel from the explosive device hit and injured them.
The incident took place in Waberi District, Banadir.
Afterward, another explosive device aimed at a vehicle that Hirsi owns went off and killed one police officer while injuring three others at a road in Banadir.
The second incident took place on Wednesday.
Security officers arrived at the scene to launch investigations to discover the people behind the attacks that target Hirsi.
Local authorities and officials from the government have attributed the attacks on Al-Shabaab, which has a history of organizing similar attacks against security officers in the country.
