Mogadishu Truck Drivers Block Road to Protest Colleague’s Killing by Police

Truck drivers in Mogadishu have blocked a road leading to the port to protest the killing of one of their colleagues by the police.

The truck drivers blocked the road on Saturday, August 27.

According to the truck drivers, police officers stopped one of them and asked for a bribe.

When their colleague refused to hand over the bribe, an altercation ensued between him and the police.

The police then shot him. He later succumbed to his injuries.

The truck drivers who blocked the road in the nation’s capital demanded that the killer should be brought to book. They also want justice for their fallen colleague.
