The nursing degree that Mogadishu University offers has earned recognition from an international body thus propelling the institution into the limelight.
The Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) evaluated the institution’s Degree in Nursing before issuing its findings.
According to CGFNS, students who pursue the degree at Mogadishu University can join any institution or employer in the United States without having to repeat the course.
In their report, CGFNS concluded that students from this Somali institution of higher learning have similar qualifications to that of their counterparts in the US.
CGFNS issued this report after evaluating Lul Mohamed, a graduate of the Mogadishu University.
Mohamed graduated from Mogadishu Unversity with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2011.
She was then registered as a nurse in the East African nation before later moving to the US.
