The Court of Appeal in Mogadishu upheld the sentences meted on several government officials last year.
Consequently, the one-year jail terms against Omar Maalin Noor and Abdullahi Mohamud Osoble will stand.
Noor and Osoble served as the Director and Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs respectively in the Department of Immigration.
Other officials had their sentences reduced by a few years.
These include Sabir Hassan Abdinur and Abukar Mohamed Ali who will now serve two and a half years and six years respectively.
Initially, Abdinur was to spend three and a half years in prison while Ali was to be jailed for 8 years.
