Authorities have reopened Dabka Road in Mogadishu after it was closed following a recent terror attack in the region.
Late last week, Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble asked security agencies to consider reopening the road.
He told the agencies that the road played a crucial role in the lives of local residents.
Roble also mentioned that local businesses were suffering since the road was closed last week.
However, on February 14, security agencies in the region opened the road by lifting and removing the massive barriers used to close it.
On Sunday, Roble expressed his gratitude to the agencies for heeding to his call.
Furthermore, he advised members of the public to stand by and cooperate with security agencies who continue giving their best despite working under tough conditions.
He commended security forces for working in the face of cold temperatures, the hot sun, and frequent explosions around various parts of the nation’s capital.
