Mogadishu’s Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Hospital has been reopened.
Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre attended the special ceremony held at the facility to declare it reopen to the public.
He was in the company of Ahmad Juma Al Rumaithi, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador to Somalia.
Several officials from the Ministry of Health were at the ceremony too.
The newly reopened facility has eight major departments.
These include Dentistry, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Emergency, Dermatology, Gynaecology, Imaging, and Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT).
