More than 80,000 residents of the conflict-laden Las Anod town have fled their homes.
Las Anod has been home to unending clashes that have claimed many lives in the last few weeks and months.
Somaliland forces have clashed with several troops comprising mostly of people opposed to their presence in the region.
According to witnesses, heavy artillery has become the norm in the clashes.
The economy and health system in the city have suffered considerably as a result. Residents have been forced to flee the city in search of safety and better fortune elsewhere.
