At least eight mortar rounds landed in Hamarwayne, Yaqshid, and Hiliwaa districts in Mogadishu on Saturday, causing alarm in the Somali capital.
Security agencies, stated that an investigation has been launched and, as of now, no casualties or fatalities have been reported.
No group has immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, but the Al-Shabaab militant group is known for frequently carrying out such gun and bomb attacks in Somalia.
The group often targets both civilian and military sites in its ongoing insurgency against the Somali government and its allies.
