On Saturday morning, Adan Hassan Ali, a Somali federal MP has died at Yardimeli Specialist Hospital of diabetes.
Several top government officials have sent messages of condolence to the deceased’s family and constituents.
The Speaker of the House joined Senators and Members of Parliament in condoling the death of the MP.
Reports indicate that MP Ali has been ill for some time.
Before his death, Ali served in the Parliamentary Finance Committee of the Lower House in HirShabelle Regional State.
His death follows that of Omar Abdulle Shooli, a legendary Somali musician who died at Aden Adde Hospital in Mogadishu of diabetes too.
