The discussions between Ali and Jurgen Stock, the Interpol Secretary-General, took place on Sunday, February 20.
Their discussions mostly centered on the nexus between violent extremism and transnational organized crime in the African continent.
Somalia has been grappling with extremism and terrorism for decades.
It’s home to Al-Shabaab – one of Africa’s most violent and notorious militant groups.
Additionally, the foreign affairs minister and Stock spoke about Interpol’s activities in the continent.
