The mutilated head of a Kenyan administrator who was abducted by Al-Shabaab has been discovered.
Kenyan security sources said that the chief’s head was discovered in Wajir’s sub-location of Gumarey.
Omar Aden, a local assistant chief, was reportedly abducted on Friday, December 18.
Two days later, his badly mutilated head was found in the morning.
The area where he was abducted and subsequently killed is renowned for being prone to attacks from Al-Shabaab militants.
According to security sources, Aden’s body is yet to be discovered.
