President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud said this while leading Somalis in mourning ex-President Mwinyi.
The former Tanzanian President passed away on Friday.
President Mohamud conveyed deepest condolences to President Suluhu Samia and the people of Tanzania over Mwinyi’s death.
He commended the dedication to peace that the late Mwinyi displayed over the course of his life.
President Mohamud cited Mwinyi’s leadership that raised the profile of Tanzania globally while inspiring millions on the African continent.
