Somalia National Bureau of Statistics (SNBS) says that the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 2.9 percent in 2021.
SNBS said this while releasing the latest Somalia GDP Report.
The organization published the report on Thursday, June 30.
According to the SNBS report, this is a commendable feat considering that the country’s GDP had declined by 0.3 percent in 2020.
SNBS indicates that the growth is reflective of the recovery that the East African nation is making from the COVID-19 shocks encountered in 2020.
