The National Consultative Council (NCC) has set a new deadline for the ongoing House of the People elections.
NCC members met on February 24 under the leadership of Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble.
After the meeting, they announced that March 15 is the new deadline.
Last month, the NCC announced, through Prime Minister Roble, that elections for all Lower House seats must be concluded by February 25.
However, with more than 150 seats still to go, the initial deadline appeared increasingly unachievable.
