The new African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) Force Commander has reported for duty.
Lt. Gen. Sam Okiding arrived in Mogadishu on Sunday to begin his tour of duty.
Lt. Gen. Okiding had already served the regional force in Somalia before.
He was the AU Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) Sector One Commander from 2015-2017.
