In a significant milestone for community development, Burhakaba city commissioner Ibrahim Mohamed Lysaamow, along with district leaders, inaugurated newly constructed bridges in Somalia’s Southwest State on Friday.
The bridges, hailed as symbols of unity, resilience, and hope, represent a major step forward for the region’s infrastructure and connectivity.
“These bridges are not just physical structures—they are a powerful statement of what we can achieve together,” Commissioner Lysaamow said during the unveiling ceremony.
Residents praised the initiative, noting that the improved access would boost trade, mobility, and emergency response in the region.
The project underscores the local government’s commitment to rebuilding and investing in long-term development, even amid broader national challenges.
