A new Centre for Innovation and Agribusiness Development has been launched in Somalia.
The centre, which will be based in Mogadishu, was launched in a colorful ceremony presided over by officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation.
This initiative aims to bolster the agricultural sector by fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable practices among Somali farmers and agribusinesses.
The center will focus on providing training, research, and resources to enhance productivity, promote value-added agricultural products, and create employment opportunities, particularly for youth and women.
This development is expected to contribute significantly to Somalia’s economic growth, food security, and overall resilience in the face of climate challenges.
