A new camp for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Dollow has water taps.
A United Nations emergency drought response program ensured that the IDPs at the camp can access safe and clean water for their use.
UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and UN Central Emergency Response Fund (UNCERF) jointly funded the program to install the water taps at the camp.
Installation of the taps comes at the perfect time for the IDPs at the camp.
In the last three days, more than 300 households have arrived at the newly created IDP camp thus increasing the pressure on the availability of water and other essential commodities.
