A new pediatric ward has been opened in Martini Hospital, Mogadishu.
The unit was officially opened on Wednesday.
Dr. Ali Haji opened it officially in a ceremony that Alberto Vecchi, the Italian Ambassador to Somalia, also attended.
Dr. Haji is the federal Minister of Health.
The Italian Embassy in Somalia supported and funded the renovation and expansion of the hospital to cater to the medical needs of mothers and their children.
