Mogadishu – Somalia’s Foreign Minister, Abdisalam Ali, officially received the credentials of the newly appointed United Kingdom Ambassador to Somalia, Charles King, during a formal ceremony held Saturday at the offices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Mogadishu.
The event marks a renewed chapter in Somalia–UK diplomatic relations, with both sides expressing optimism about deepening cooperation in areas such as security, development, and governance.
Ali welcomed Ambassador King and emphasized the importance of strengthening the historical ties between the two nations, while the ambassador reaffirmed the UK’s commitment to supporting Somalia’s stability and progress.
