The new United Nations Representative to Somalia visited the country’s Southwest state on Tuesday.
Ambassador Catriona Laing, the new Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, visited the regional state for discussions with local leaders.
She held talks with President Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen in Baidoa.
Laing and President Laftagareen discussed issues such as state-building and political dialogue. They also spoke about climate change and the impact of the ongoing drought in the country.
