The new United Nations Special Representative to Somalia has begun visiting the Federal Member States (FMS).
Catriona Laing, the UN Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Somalia, was in Jowhar on Friday.
She met several leaders including President Ali Gudlawe Hassan of the regional state of HirShabelle.
Laing arrived in Somalia earlier this week.
Since then, she has held discussions with senior government officials including Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre.
