The new United States Ambassador to Somalia has presented his credentials to President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
Ambassador Richard H. Riley presented his credentials to the President on Friday at Villa Somalia.
President Mohamud and Ambassador Riley discussed several issues.
These included the strategic security partnership between Somalia and the US as well as joint counterterrorism measures in the East African nation.
Gen. Michael E. Langley, the Commander of the US Africa Command (AFRICOM), was also present at the meeting between President Mohamud and Amb. Riley.
