The new Executive Director of the Word Food Programme (WFP) is in Somalia on an official visit.
Cindy McCain, the new head of WFP, embarked on her tour of Somalia on Tuesday.
She met and held discussions with President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud at Villa Somalia.
McCain also visited public hospitals in Mogadishu.
It’s the first time that McCain, who is the widow of Senator John McCain, is on an overseas mission since her appointment as WFP chief on April 5, 2023.
