The body of the young baby was discovered in a street in the Mogadishu district of Daynile on March 10.
The incident has left local residents shocked.
According to eyewitnesses, the newborn girl had her face smashed by what is suspected to be a metallic object.
Authorities have collected the body to conduct further investigations.
