Two newly constructed culverts designed to reduce the effect of flooding in Baardheere have been launched.
The District Commissioner of Baardheere launched the two culverts.
In the last few months, Somalia has experienced some of the worst flooding in the recent past. The floods have displaced thousands of people from their homes.
USAID in Somalia funded the construction of the culverts and other projects
Other projects in the region that benefit from funding by USAID in Somalia include construction of Sakow Road and Community Center.
USAID in Somalia also funded the construction of the Airport Road.
While launching the culverts, the District Commissioner said such investments are crucial for promoting peace, prosperity, and stability in the region.
