Somalia’s Ministry of Health announced 91 new COVID-19 cases in the country on February 14 from tests conducted over the last 48 hours.
With the addition of the new cases, the confirmed tally of patients to have tested positive for COVID-19 now stands at 5,183.
Banadir region was responsible for 85 of the new cases reported on Sunday with Puntland recording six cases.
Furthermore, the new cases comprised 56 males and 35 females.
Additionally, the number of recoveries is now 3,739 while the East African nation has recorded 152 deaths since the first COVID-19 case was reported in March 2020.
Last week, the health ministry confirmed that the country was in the midst of a new surge of COVID-19 cases.
