Ninety-seven Al-Shabaab terrorists have been killed in operations carried out in two Federal Member States (FMS).
The operations were the joint work of Somali National Army (SNA) officers and local allied militia.
Both teams carried out the operation on November 9.
The focus of the operations was Ceel Gorof and Basra in Galmudug and Southwest regional states respectively.
The security operation in Ceel Gorof killed 50 militants.
The other one in Basra led to the killing of 47 militants.
Somalia’s Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism issued a press statement confirming the operations and the subsequent deaths.
