Somalia’s National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) deployed some of its personnel on an important expedition to Saudi Arabia.
The NIRA delegation will hold talks with their Saudi Arabia counterparts on national identification and civil registration.
Currently, Somalia is in the middle of digitising all its national ID systems.
Somalis in the country can now look forward to possessing digital national IDs.
NIRA’s Director General Abdiweli Timacade is part of the delegation expected to hold the Riyadh talks with their Saudi counterparts.
