Officials from the National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) held talks with the Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs, and Reconciliation on Tuesday.
The NIRA officials took the opportunity to brief Ahmed Fiqi, the Minister of Interior, on their recent benchmarking tour to Malawi.
Their colleagues from the Office of the Prime Minister, who accompanied them on the benchmarking tour, attended the briefing too.
They traveled to Malawi to check how the country had implemented the digital identification and registration campaign, which Somalia has also introduced.
