NISA and Jubbaland Launch Investigations into Murder of Regional Spy Chief

The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) has launched investigations into the murder of one of its regional spy chiefs.

Mahad Mohamed Salad, the NISA Director, has instructed the agency to launch investigations into the recent murder of Abdirahman Abdullahi Bakaal Kooke.

People suspected to be Al-Shabaab militants killed Kooke, who was the head of the NISA office in Gedo, Jubbaland.

NISA will work closely with Jubbaland authorities to carry out the investigations.

Six members of Kooke’s security detail suffered serious injuries.

Salad said that Kooke was murdered for standing on the side of truth in all his undertakings as the head of the NISA office in Gedo.

He added that Al-Shabaab killed Kooke for dedicating his life to liberating the region from the shackles of the terrorists.

Jubbaland authorities have already promised not to rest until they bring Kooke’s killers to book.
