NISA Claims Al-Shabaab Killed a Missing Female Agent

The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) claims that Al-Shabaab militants have killed a female agent who has been missing for weeks.

According to a NISA report released on September 2, Al-Shabaab militants have killed Ikran Tahalil.

NISA claimed that it had launched a massive operation and manhunt for the agent’s killers.

However, Tahalil’s mother refuted the report issued by NISA on her daughter’s death.

In an interview with Voice of America (VOA) Somali Service, Qali Mohamud Guhad, urged NISA to tell the public what befell her daughter.

“Al-Shabaab didn’t kill my daughter. NISA must tell us what happened to her,” Guhad said.

Several Somalis took to social media to voice their concerns with the news of Tahalil’s murder. They blamed NISA for her death.

Omar Sharma’arke, a former Prime Minister of Somalia, urged Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble to appoint a committee to investigate Tahalil’s death.

Tahalil has been missing since June 26.
