MOGADISHU — The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) has conducted a targeted special operation against senior militant leaders in the Middle Shabelle region.
According to official reports, the operation took place in the village of Maha-Said, where high-ranking members of Al-Shabaab (referred to by the government as “Kharijites”) had reportedly gathered to coordinate future attacks.

Security officials stated that the mission was intelligence-driven and timed to coincide with a meeting of the group’s leadership. The operation proceeded as planned, with authorities describing the outcome as a “significant blow” to the militants’ operational capabilities in the region.
This raid represents a continuation of recent intelligence-led actions by Somali security agencies focused on disrupting terrorist networks and preempting potential threats to civilian populations.
