Norway has announced the resumption of financial aid to Somaliland.
Recently, the European nation suspended the financial assistance it previously accorded to the breakaway region through Somaliland Development Fund (SDF).
This news emerged on September 12 during a meeting between President Muse Bihi Abdi and Ms. Elin Bergithe Rognlie, the Norwegian Ambassador to Somalia.
Vice President Abdirahman Abdilahi Ismail Sayli’i was also at the meeting.
Mohamed Mohamud Adan, Head of Somaliland Mission to Norway, attended the meeting between the high-powered delegation from both nations.
Ambassador Rognlie announced that the financial aid would resume forthwith.
President Bihi’s administration will identify the priority development projects, which Norway would then finance.
