Norwegian Charge d’Affaires Discusses Debt Relief with Somali Deputy Prime Minister

The Charge d’Affaires at the Norwegian Embassy in Mogadishu met with Deputy Prime Minister Salah Jama to discuss a range of issues.

During the meeting, which took place at the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister in Mogadishu, Charge d’Affaires Haakon Svane assured Jama of Norway’s continued support.

Specifically, Svane restated the Norwegian government’s commitment to helping Somalia’s debt relief efforts.

They also spoke about stabilization measures.

Furthermore, the Deputy Prime Minister talked about the need for Norway to increase its development assistance to the East African nation.

Deputy Prime Minister Jama commended Norway for the support it provides to Somalia across multiple sectors too.
