Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur visited three Turkish companies that supply military weapons to Somalia.
Nur visited the firms in his capacity as Somalia’s Minister of Defense.
On Saturday, he kicked off his itinerary with a visit to Mechanical and Chemical Industry Inc (MKE). Nur then followed this up with a visit to Special Forces Command (ÖKK).
He would then conclude with a tour of the facilities of Military Electronic Industries (ASELSAN).
MKE specializes in producing Turkish military equipment.
The visit is significant bearing in mind that Turkey and Somalia recently signed a new military cooperation agreement.
