Nurses from Jowhar Regional Hospital conducted an oral cholera vaccination campaign in the region.
The frontline nurses carried out the campaign in Jowhar town.
Jowhar, which is the administrative capital of the regional state of HirShabelle, has witnessed a sharp rise in the number of cholera patients.
In the past week, the frontline nurses from Jowhar Regional Hospital vaccinated 4,778 people.
The vaccination exercise took place through the support of the federal Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization (WHO).
