The National Union of Somali Journalists (NUSOJ) held a workshop for local journalists on elections safety on August 5.
NUSOJ organized the workshop jointly with the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ).
The workshop’s theme was Safety, Access to Information and Media Professionalism.
During the workshop, journalists learned about essential survival skills. Organizers also taught them on professional responsibility during the elections.
They were also educated on different ways of guaranteeing their rights as journalists while covering elections in different parts of the country.
