The National Union of Somali Journalists (NUSOJ) briefed the United Nations Human Rights Council on the unending attacks on journalists in Somalia.
Through Secretary-General Omar Faruk Osman, NUSOJ informed the Council on pressing issues affecting the country’s journalists.
Over the years, Somalia has repeatedly been ranked as one of the most dangerous countries for journalists in the world.
During the Tuesday session, Secretary-General Osman also updated the Council on the troubling restrictions on freedom of expression in the East African nation.
