The National Union of Somali Journalists (NUSOJ) conducted a training workshop for 61 journalists on peace journalism.
NUSOJ convened two training workshops for journalists based in Galkayo and Mogadishu.
It organized the workshop in conjunction with Olof Palme International Center and the FBA – Swedish Agency for Peace, Security and Development.
NUSOJ expressed gratitude to the Federation of Somali Trade Unions (FESTU) for facilitating the training workshops.
In Mogadishu, 31 journalists gathered for the workshop. This workshop attracted participants from Mogadishu, Afgoye, Jowhar, Beledweyne, Kismayo, Bardhere, and Baidoa.
The Galkayo workshop attracted 30 journalists from Puntland and Galmudug.
NUSOJ held the workshops jointly with its partners on December 29-31, 2020.
