The National Union of Somali Journalists (NUSOJ) has delivered a new message to journalists and media outlets on COVID-19.
NUSOJ issued its fresh message through Secretary General Omar Faruk Osman.
In it, Faruk called upon journalists in the country to continue adhering to the precautionary measures the government put in place.
He also asked them to follow the guidelines that the Ministry of Health recommended to curb the spread of the deadly virus in the Horn of Africa nation.
Further, the Secretary General advised media houses to reduce their meetings and the number of invitations sent to guests to appear for interviews in their studios.
Additionally, Faruk has requested the government to consider adding journalists to the list of essential services not affected by the prevailing curfew.
