Officials from OCHA, WHO, and WFP Visit Jowhar Regional Hospital

Officials from several international organizations visited Jowhar Regional Hospital.

They were from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the World Food Program (WFP).

The officers visited the hospital on February 22.

While at the facility, the officials assessed the humanitarian situation in Middle Shabelle.

The hospital operates courtesy of funding from several sources that include the UN Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation.

United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and Italian Embassy in Somalia also fund the regional hospital.
