One person was reportedly injured when a car bomb exploded in near parliament headquarters in Mogadishu on the morning of February 13.
Reports from the capital city indicate that the incident occurred near Sadyika Junction on Saturday morning.
Apparently, the lone death was that of the suicide bomber who was in the car.
The seven people injured were all outside the car that was laden with explosives and parked outside the parliamentary building.
According to security sources, officers from Somali Police Force (SPF) foiled the attack after noticing the suspicious-looking occupant in the car.
The car had parked next to the main security checkpoint outside the parliamentary building.
There has been no claim of responsibility from any quarters regarding the attack.
