The ongoing flash floods in Somalia have affected over 400,000 people.
The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change confirmed this in the report it published over the weekend.
Khadija Mohamed Al-Makhzoumi, the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, assured victims of the floods of the government’s interventions.
“Our hearts go out to those affected by the floods,” the minister said.
“The unprecedented floods have caused dire situations thus forcing over 400,000 people around the country to flee their homes,” she added.
Al-Makhzoumi urged all stakeholders to join hands in supporting relief efforts around the country.
