Only 16 students sat for the National Secondary School Exams in Hudur.
The exams kicked off on Saturday, June 18.
Education officials expressed concern at the huge drop in the number of secondary school students sitting for the exams in Hudur, the provincial capital of Bakool in Southwest State.
Last year, the number of students who sat for the exams in Hudur was 42.
According to local education officials, the ongoing drought is responsible for the significant drop in the number of exam candidates.
