Opposition parties have issued a statement accusing Ambassador Francisco Madeira, who is the Head of AMISOM, of allowing non-AMISOM troops to operate in the country.
AU has only been stationing and working with African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) troops in the Horn of Africa nation.
However, opposition parties under the leadership of former President Sheikh Shariff Sheikh Ahmed, believe that non-AMISOM troops are also in the country.
More specifically, they have fingered out the presence of Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF) in multiple parts of the nation.
Countries with their contingent in the mission are Kenya, Burundi, Uganda, Djibouti, Ethiopia, and Sierra Leone.
Despite Ethiopia being one of the countries with a presence in AMISOM, opposition parties say the country has stationed several non-AMISOM military in the country.
Worse, they believe that the non-AMISOM troops from Ethiopian are in the East African nation with the blessing of Ambassador Madeira.
AMISOM, the Federal Government of Somalia, and the Ethiopian government are yet to speak out on the issue.
