Opposition politicians have welcomed the decision by Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble to sack the Director of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA).
Roble sacked NISA’s Director Fahad Yasin on Monday, September 6.
Immediately afterward, the Council of Presidential Candidates (CPC) expressed their delight at the decision to relieve Yasin of his duties at NISA.
They hailed Prime Minister Roble for taking a decision that makes it possible for the family of Ikran Tahlil to find justice.
Tahlil was a female NISA agent whose murder has shocked the nation.
She went missing on June 26.
CPC issued a press release commending Roble’s move. The opposition group also expressed hope that the move allows NISA to regain its damaged reputation.
