The outgoing United Ambassador to Somalia has spoken to the media on her tour of duty.
Ambassador Kate Foster spoke to the media over the weekend about her time and experience in the East African nation.
She highlighted a few of her accomplishments as the UK Ambassador to Somalia.
First, she commended Somalia for the measures taken to ensure that the nation never experienced the much-expected famine in 2022.
She also mentioned the relatively peaceful elections process that Somalia went through in the last two years.
Ambassador Foster added that her farewell visit to Baidoa in the presence of President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud filled her with great joy.
Ms. Foster has been the UK Ambassador to Somalia since February 2021.
