Ben Fender, the outgoing United Kingdom Ambassador to Somalia, paid the Deputy Prime Minister a courtesy visit on February 15.
Fender visited Mahdi M. Gulaid, the Deputy Prime Minister, in the latter’s office in Mogadishu on Tuesday.
Ambassador Fender is on the last month of his tenure as UK’s Ambassador to Somalia.
During his meeting with the UK Ambassador, Deputy Prime Minister Gulaid exalted Fender’s numerous contributions to making Somalia a better country.
He said the outgoing Ambassador would always hold a special place in Somalia.
While wishing Fender success in his future endeavors, Gulaid also spoke of the need for enhancing the great partnership their respective nations enjoy.
