The residents of a town in Lower Shabelle are up in arms after government soldiers shot and killed two civilians.
Sources revealed that the soldiers, who are part of a unit comprising specially trained Somali National Army (SNA) forces, committed the offense in Barire town.
The incident took place a few moments ago on Monday, June 13.
It is not clear why the soldiers killed the civilians.
Reliable sources informed the media that two soldiers have been arrested for the offense. They are expected to be taken to Mogadishu for court-martial.
The soldiers who committed the offense had been specially trained in Turkey.
